A Delicious Harvest

I know it's Friday, and I should be posting my "Geeking Out About" post--but things are crazy right now, so I haven't put that together yet. But, I AM geeking out about harvesting the veggies from our backyard--so in a round about way, this is a "Geeking Out" post (sort of). :O)

This summer has been pretty successful as far as my family's backyard farming goes. I've got tons of peas growing (which are delicious) and my sister's strawberries are doing very well. And there are the potato plants, which I have not harvested yet--but hopefully those will be successful as well.

The good thing about peas is that they are so easy to grow. Granted, last year my peas failed--but that was because one of my dogs ate all the seedlings. I guess they tasted pretty good.

Here is a picture of some of the sugar snap pea harvest.

And here is a yum-delicious photo of strawberries from our little strawberry patch. Doesn't it look delicious? I certainly think it does.

Have you grown anything this summer? Please share in the comments section! I'd love to hear what botanical and agricultural adventures my readers have had this summer. :O)
